Documents and Medical

Passport

A current passport is necessary, and must be valid for at least 6 months when you visit. Visas are not necessary for British, Irish, EU Citizens, Australian, New Zealand, Canadian and US passport holders for visits up to 90 days.

When you arrive your passport will be stamped for entry at the airport or at the border if driving in.
You will fill in an entry form with name, date of birth, occupation, where you are coming from and where you are going to in Morocco.
A full address is not normally needed but the name of a place or town seems to be enough i.e. you can state Marrakech or Dades Gorge or Erfoud for example.

When you leave, you will have an exit stamp.

Vehicle Documents & Insurance Papers

If you are bringing a vehicle in for the 4x4 group driving, you will also need your vehicle registration document and insurance document. If it is a company vehicle, you will need a paper with the permission of the registered owner.

You will have to check with your insurance company for Green Card insurance for Morocco and many do not issue it, but otherwise insurance can be purchased at the border.
A national driving license is valid, and you can obtain an International Driving Permit as well if you so wish.

Medical Advice

No vaccinations are necessary for travellers although you may wish to check with your doctor or Health Clinic about Hepatitis and Typhoid inoculations.

There is medical care in towns, but medicines are expensive and you may wish to bring basic items such as aspirin, stomach settlers, insect repellents and antiseptic creams, and of course sun tan lotions.
It is recommended that you drink bottled waters or water that has been purified only. Do not drink the local water.

It is also advisable to take out a health insurance policy as well as your travel insurance.
